Finow water tower

The Finow water tower is an architectural landmark of the Finow valley. It was designed by the architect Paul Mebes from Berlin and built by a company from Eberswalde in 1917/1918. An all-round wide view over maerkische Heide and the landscape with lakes and forests can be enjoyed since then. Even the Berlin television tower is visible in favourable weather.

The Finow tower is known across the boundaries of the region for its brick expressionism interspersed with Gothic stylistic elements - the Finow water tower is a pioneer in Germany for its time.
